Dear Howard - here's an update on what's happening at Dover Youth Theatre this term.
We are delighted to announce that Ashley Taylor (photo below ), who graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles winning the Michael Thoma award for outstanding student , will be our new choreographer. Ashley also studied at Webber Douglas and with renowned choreographer Macarena of Solid Gold Dancers (major american TV show.) She works in Film TV and Theatre and is married to actor Shane Taylor (Band of Brothers). Ashley will lead both Junior Dance 5pm and Senior Dance classes 6pm on Tuesdays starting Tuesday September 10th 2013.
Dover Youth Theatre has its own Spotlight page since May 2013 and already 7 students have been to major auditions including BBC Films and advertising campaigns with student Grace Cox currently starring in Batchelors Busy which can be seen in Cinemas and on TV. Students who are interested in professional auditions can join the Spotlight through the Dover Youth Theatre Agency which has a book fee of £90 paying for a year's entry in the directory.
