Dear Howard - could you put on Dover Forum please -
Students at Dover Youth Theatre are giving of their time and talents to help fellow members Tilly Penn and Tristan Savage. They will stage a Benefit Performance of drama song and dance on Thursday 15 March 2018 at 7pm in Biggin Hall Dover -.Tilly and Tristan have volunteered to help charities in South America and Africa and need money for vaccinations and essential kit . Tristan who is going to Africa in April - hence the timing of the performance said “ the money I am raising is going to ICS, International Citizenship Service. ICS works with many different AID charities that send volunteers rather than money to work on projects that have a very real impact on the lives of the disadvantaged. All the money will go towards future projects for future volunteering, just as the last volunteers raised money to help fund the project I'm going to be working on in Burkina Faso in April.” Tilly will go to Costa Rica in August . Admission £8 £5 students at the door. Poster designed by DYT member Dan Drysdale .
In spite of the snow and horrible weather conditions Deputy Mayor of Dover Councillor Roger Walkden Deputy Mayoress Ann Jenner and Councillor Callum Warriner joined those who made it through the freezing conditions at the Salem Baptist Church Hall last Tuesday for a special stage fight workshop led by Josiah Rose and Duncann Woodruff. The councillors have given the Youth Theatre the funds to pay for the insurance which enables the Youth Theatre to function - a grant of £663.54. Honorary Freeman of Dover Mike McFarnell was also on hand with his camera
