  One flower came out on my Peony shrub today, normally 4 or 5 in the first week of May.

  Peony's are particularly late this year, though some varieties were done and dusted before May. I think it is going to be an odd year after our lack of winter. More worryingly are the number of pests and diseases that will be lurking in the soil.

  The Norwegian memorial will look stunning in a month's time, the gardener should have done his homework though and used the right flag, petty I know but if you were in the Norwegian Navy you'd be a little peeved,

  Only just discovered that Admiral Bertram Ramsey who master minded the Dunkirk evacuation was Commander of Operation Fuller.
