For those who think we live on a really stable planet, with the odd shudder, here is a link to an eyeopening list of last weeks earthquakes registered as magnitude 5 and above,
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_big.phpPolitics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

i read an article a while back about housing development in southern california.
we all know about the problem with tectonic plates there, however wealthy people still love the area.
every so often someone's house disappears into a hole or simply falls to bits.
this is when the attorneys make their money, who is to blame?
a)the council for approving the development.
b)the developer for building there.
c)the architect for not making the building safer.
d)the surveyor for passing it fit for habitation.

Chris
I was living in Alkham until recently and, following the 2007 earthquake, I set up a group known as Alkham's Relieved Survivors of the Earthquake (or A.R.S.E). We still meet on the last Friday of every month in the Marquis to console each other. We can get very well consoled sometimes!
