Seems to be the thing this year judging by the traffic at a standstill in places yesterday, I went into M & S early afternoon yesterday and queued for about ten minutes with two items then gave up when I realised it would be at least another ten minutes before I got served. They had all check outs going but they never have one for 5 items or less which would help people that just want a sandwich and a drink to take back to the office.
Went again this morning and was there 5 minutes after opening and the place was at near capacity, if I had been ten minutes later there would have been full trolleys at the check outs. On the plus side I saw one of those birds that looks like a Heron but smaller in Pencester Gardens, can't remember what its called.

Egrets? I've had a few, but then again too few to mention.
(and on the subject of animals, I trust when there's an inquiry into the London Zoo fire, there is an aardvark representative on the panel)
