The Labour Party haven't been great supporters of the working (class) people for many years Keith(B).

Remember the 75p a week pension rise a few years ago and the 10p income tax fiasco ?

They want their (your ?) vote, but very little policies really support them. The trouble is that the Conservatives (and I'm a Conservative Councillor) don't either.

I know there are genuine hardships amongst a great number of low-paid people, where the Working Tax Credits and Housing Benefits have been taken away - and it isn't because their salaries have gone up beyond the normal income limits.

People shpouldn't have to pay income tax on incomes below £12,000.

There are many platitudes made about stopping benefit cheats, but there is no robust attitude or approach to it; we read in the papers every day about so and so family living of £50,000 a year benefits because they have 10 kids: why should we pay for people to have 10 children ? two, maybe three at the most, but not ten.

I could make a lot longer posting, but that will do for now.

    Roger
