I vowed to stay out of political threads as much as I could but I have to voice my opinion on this one.

For the first time in 42 years I do not know if I will be voting at the next G.E.

I do not feel that any political party, sadly I include Labour in that list, are no longer representing myself and my family.
I can understand why many are at odds with Labour and I share your views on Labour shooting themselves in the foot with it's women only list's.
However, that was a National decision and I think it is wrong to level this issue at local level and not right that Claire should be involved or blamed for it.

    Keith.
I have to say that I understand you have issues with the Labour party but I find your letters in the Mercury, calling for people not to support Claire because she was part of a process that probably she was against herself but unable to say so, is unfair on and unjust on her.
It is wrong to say that Claire was forced in selection processes, you have stated yourself that she would probably have won under any process, I believe she definitely would have won.

Attack the Labour Party for instigating this process by all means but please stop using Claire as beating stick, she deserves a chance and is a worthy candidate and probably my last hope of clinging on to a dream that once again Labour might remember just who it is, they are supposed to be representing.

If elected, I don't know how she will fair in making the changes that are needed to turn things around for the better in London but I do know she will work hard and make a difference, for our local communities, just as she is doing now.
