  no apology from me barry, i am going by personal experience of the good and the bad times.
  
  the good side was displayed to me again yesterday, appointment 3,15 pm at the k and c, arrived 2,45 pm saw a consultant at 3 pm, discussed the procedure with him, taken to a state of the art room, had a gastroscope (all the time the doctor and nurses are explaining exactly what they are doing and why.
  2o minutes later saw consultant again, he explained all about the findings and the bi opsies taken, even gave me a computer print out.
  
  the n.h.s is not perfect but at the sharp end they deliver on a grand scale.
  
  when i lost my partner to cancer the efforts made by the medical staff went far beyond my expectations.
  
  this service is free at the point of use regardless of ability to pay.
