I saw the CBS news this morning, the wonders of Telstar eh, and they had a report headed ''The Brits are coming''. Apparently Brits wishing to escape the razzmatazz of the RM are fleeing to the US only to find the live TV coverage and hysteria over there exceeds dear old Blighty.
Funnily enough although visitors numbers are up, the London hotels are still only running at 70% capacity. Mind you it could be something to do with the hike in room prices. The Mayfair Hotel manager was interviewed who claimed his $230,000 a night price tag was a bargain as it contained a piece of jewellery chosen by the guest.
