.. Colonel Tim Collins, he says he wants to stand for election for the job and it seems to me that he would be ideal. Someone from a non-police uniformed background with real leadership skills would be an interesting choice that would shake up the police.
he may be the man for the job, that is only whether it is worth employing someone on a large salary while at the same time cutting back on frontline officers.
I had a Colonel Tim Collins, in the army wonder if its the same one RAMC Aldershot he will have to do a lot to shake this lazy lot up in Kent they only want to police from behind a desk. was in town last week when 75 yes 75 cyclist rode from market square to pensester £30 a time fine £2,250 for our coffers when I told a police women and she said did i count them just so lazey.

Whilst i appreciate what you say, you do have a few things to consider;
1; if the police are to spend time on this riding in this area(and im not saying they
shouldn't) then often they will get calls to a murder, or assault or such like
but list of priorities should be in place as to most important and how the police
carry out the job
2; with regard to police in general i think i have put my comments on earlier posts
