Kent Coastal Week - 27th October to 4th November 2013

  Next week is Kent Coastal Week and events will be taking place all over Kent, but I will just plug our own
  
  In conjunction with KCC and the White Cliffs Countyside Partnership, the Western Heights Preservation Society are carrying out walks on Sunday 28th October on the Western Heights
  
  There will be two walks setting off at 10am and 2pm from the Drop Redoubt. One is a circult of the Heights (2 miles, 2 hours) and one around the Grand Shaft and Drop Redoubt areas (1 mile 2 hours) so you have opportunities to do both.

  Learn about the role of St. Margaret's during the Second
  World War. (4 miles 3 hours). Meet at the village car park

  yet another wccp event this coming saturday.
  
  
  Join Mel and some fun historical characters as they take you for a jolly jaunt around the Western Heights this Saturday (3rd Nov at 11am). Come dressed as a smuggler, convict, shepherd (or shepherdess), soldier or workman and you can join in! Meet at St. Martin's Battery car park.

  I hope you get lots of walkers,I loved walking,but it is a no to that at this time.I even walked to Dover each morning to work and somtimes home again when I had a house in the bay,but that was not for joy,it was because there was no bus at 0400in the morning.
