The question is Howard what level of services should be duplicated in a city with a population of just over 50,000 which is half an hours travelling from William Harvey Hospital (even less time with lights and sirens).

A bit of a waste of your money paying for council staff covering the non meeting, and a bit of a waste of time for councillors and the members of the public who turned up.

It might be worth remembering the hospital serves the surrounding areas as well as Canterbury. The last time I went for an appointment to William Harvey by public transport it was about two hours there and similar back (Margate is also an awful jorney) the luxury of a car trip does not always apply.

The NHS representatives just not turning up just shows the contempt the bosses have for local communities, the decision is made so bugger anyone else.
