  Following on from yesterdays funeral Sandra took the trouble to drop us a line again last night.

  The whole family would like to say thank you to everyone who came today and helped give Ken such a good send off. It was lovely to meet so many of his friends, neighbours and colleagues, and to hear lots of funny stories about him. We really appreciate the love and support you have given to us all during this difficult time. Thank you for all the beautiful flowers and for the generous donations to the observatory.
  
  I would also like to share a little moment from the day that made us smile. As we were driving from the church to St Marys, the cars had to stop to let a couple of ducks cross the road. Ken would have found it so funny, and would have taken a picture and given it a suitable caption!
