Hi Paul
I'm Sandra, Kens sister, and I have just been looking at all the lovely comments people have been posting on the forum. We are all in shock, but it is nice to know other people are thinking of us.
I'm not sure if you are fully aware of what happened on Sunday? He was out on a trip with other camera club members at a nature reserve near Detling Hill, when he suddenly collapsed, and as far as we understand, it was instant and he would not have known anything about it. It is of some comfort to us to know that it happened whilst he was with friends and doing something that he really enjoyed.
You all knew, or knew of him, as a photographer and someone with a keen interest in local history, but to us he was also a wonderful son, brother, cousin, uncle and godfather. He has been a major part of family life through the good times and bad, he held us all together when our Dad (mine and Kens) died just a few weeks ago. Although he did not have any children of his own, he really loved spending time with my two, James and Alice (he was also James's godfather), and they enjoyed many interesting days out with him.
Can you pass this on to the forum, with our thanks for all their kind words.
Sandra Gillham
