    Perhaps a lot of people are put off posting by the way almost every thread becomes a two-way argument on politics. So many threads very quickly go that way and then are not only political but also predictable, "the government have to do it because of the mess the last lot left" or, "I'm not Labour Party but it's all the fault of the (so-called) coalition".

    You also suffer from narrow opinions that will start a thread, let it go then start a new version a month later to make the same shallow point from a slightly different perspective. Most event threads get little more than a verbal pat on the back and/or a few photographs.

    Maybe instead of looking at those who seldom post, it could be a good idea to look at those who are always posting to see if there is a reason the others are disinclined to join in a debate.
