Merton Council is making £24million in savings this year and will cut a further £45million over the next three years so WTF are they doing spending time and money on erectiing this......

No it's true...beggars belief. It just goes to confirm what I have thought for years that councils are led by imbeciles.
Look at Dover..thousands spent on relaying roads only to be dug up a few days later...approving a trunk road that cut off the seafront from its townsfolk. Years to develop derelict sites....approving out of town shopping complexes therefore killing off the town centre.
Need I go on..?

It would have been cheaper to have tarmaced (?) over the thing and had done with it! It would have looked better too!
