  On returning from a Council meeting this evening approx 8.15pm ,the Alkham Valley road leading under the bridge was blocked by a large vehicle stuck under the bridge /.We had to to do a detour via Temple Ewell.This happens frequently .Alkham Parish Council and River Parish Council have asked for better signage but we still await action.
  
  That who;le area needs looking at .We really need Traffic Lights that operate during peak times .

  Traffic lights ?? Not aware of a problem any worse than most other roads....

  Paul always lots of traffic peak morning and again in the evening .Trying to get out of the Alkham Valley road onto the main London road .Traffic stretches way back to Kearsnety Abbey some days .In September Stagecoach are going to run the bus service throught River to Whitfield every twenty minutes /Will not be good at peak times .
  Some times it is a problem getting out of River as drivers cannot get out on to the main road
  
  Do you remember what it was like before we had the traffic lights at Crabble ?.

  I can't understand how lorries don't know the height of their vehicle as a matter of course; the bridges have a sign to say how high they are - don't they.

  Again!!!! It is always happening! And tryingto get out of that road at the top of the hill is a nightmare at peak times!
