Agreed Sue. Kearsney Abbey and Russel Gardens are absolutely worth a visit (when I was there last year I was talking to a wildlife photographer who had crossed half the country to try to photograph kingfishers there).

If I had a magic wand and could build one thing in Dover (without costing a fortune on yet another White Elephant quarter) it would be to build a 'Sustrans Standard' cycle/walk/buggy/pram/mobility scooter path from the seafront to Kearsney Abbey complete with Toucan crossings wherever it was forced to cross a road.

It's how we are going to move around towns in future so why not build it now so we can put in offshoots along Folkestone Road, up Tower Hamlets and the Buckland Estate etc later?
