Conservative DDC councillors do attend the parish council meetings , we usually get Cllr Bates or Cllr Richardson who has recently been promoted to deputy head of DDC. Cllr Bates has attended many meetings over the IBF however all their hands were tied when it came to voting on the project. So many residents contacted them to ask for their support in voting against the Guston location, Bates, Richardson and KCC Cllr Manion abstained. All are good friends with Mrs Elphicke who was keen to support the project. So when they were needed by the Guston residents to stand up and be counted they did the opposite and fell in line. What use is that to our community? In saying that I could not tell you who could step in from the Labour Party, their presence in our village is non existent. Green Party really interacted with residents over IBF, Lib Dem’s show support in Parliament and the PC meetings. But conservatives are over powering everything a mo, we need much more opposition happening
