Keith, even if UKIP did win the County elections, the Coalition has made sure that no Localism is in place, so County and District Governments would not be able to influence central Government policies anyway.
But the Conservative party did use Localism as a way of being elected into power in May 2010 and entering into a coalition.
So we'd just be puppets dancing on strings while a restricted number of people siting in the Cabinet in London carry on with their EU agenda.
They would soon tell local Governments where to get off, and just cut council budgets while siphoning away the money from districts and councils by way of tax.
We pay the tax in Kent to the Treasury, and the Cabinet just cuts council budgets by 40%.
At the very least they should have increased council budgets in line with inflation.
But the City bankers and FTSE 100 share company directors still increase their top salaries and heap more bonuses on themselves.
