Just off to say my last goodbye to Speedy Hayes

  Mr Hayes well known going under the name of Speedy was a true Dover man. Well known taxi driver,and he also was a great help to myself when we had a Dover boxing club he would come to all the shows home and away taking the lads with him. both his boys were in the Dover club.one of them turned out to be very good even boxed for England as a Jr.
  He was a great supporter of Dover ,he worked for years at old park Bks.then as a cab driver.Had long black hair.
  Once you stopped to talk to him .you could never get away. He was a single Dad looking after two boys and done a very good job of it .He was always out with them ,when not working.
  He will be much missed by us and his family.

  only saw him last week in pencester surgery,looked fine then.

  I have just got back and will missing seeing him about ,he was always joking about and talking about our time at the boxing club.
