    The roadworks are in preparation for terminal T2 which is very unlikely to materialise. Nothing whatsoever to do with a rail link, which is also very unlikely to happen. The first/second/third round consultation documents from 2006/2007/2008 all mention leaving open the possibility of incorporating a rail connection, with land reserved on Shakespeare Beach.
