We have just got back from having 3 full days in Stoke and the Peak District.
One full day was at Matlock and we done a visit up to Abraham Heights by CAPLE CAR going down into the lead mines of the Great Masson CAVERN WHICH by the way is my wife maiden name and also going down the great Rutland Cavern and Tavern.
If you have never been there then try to because it is a great day out.
Also a day with my family in Stoke lots of meals out so a diet coming on now I am going 17 stone so lots to come off.
But needed a lot of help from my wife and others getting up and down the steps in the mines but got there in the end.

I have camped in that area several times, as it is a wonderful part of our country.
I don't mind heights, I have even done a parachute jump but that cable car freaked me out and you would never get me on that ever again.

That's only a small one to some we have been on but understand why some do not like doing on them but the chair ones are best and when they stop at times on high points with the wind blowing.
But the one at the highs is the kind I try years ago to get the D.H.B. and the E/H and D.D.C, to put up to the castle it would have been a great hit with the public .Thank you for your post.

Vic, you are absolutely right. This is one of the companies that were involved prior to five year hiatus caused by the future of the Port of Dover debate.

I think the next six months will probably tell the direction of travel Howard. You'd need to be a clairovoyant to tell but I think anything commercial could be looked at.

That's great news Vic and thank you for your patience.
I will be out there myself on Tuesday, so will treat you to a coffee.
It will be a great day when we can all walk across the bridge.
I will now start on work on getting funds and planning permission for the bridge.
If anyone else on the DF want to help with this restoration with hands on help or with any funding, no matter how small, EKR would greatly appreciate it?
