Jan, I know of Sue Nicholas and have seen her wearing a chain, my query was not what her title is but what the role entails. As chairman of the council is she senior to Paul? And is Mr Aziz senior to both of them? And who is accountable for what? Sue mentions grit bins, is it her responsibility to order the gritters into action?

Anyway, I'm meeting Paul next week and I'm very much looking forward to it, I don't suppose we'll agree on everything but I'm very grateful he has taken the time to invite a member of the public, especially one seen as an agent provocateur.
