    As I mentioned in earlier postings Sheila, no actual planning rules were broken. If it had been refused, then the portacabin would have had to have been removed - by enforcement if necessary.

    I don't like retrospective applications, but we cannot refuse them just because they are retrospective. Maybe central government should be lobbied to get the rules changed, but until then, we have to make decisions (popular or not) and please bear in mind that one side will always be happy and the other, unhappy; whatever we decided, we couldn't please everyone and we are not there to please - per sae, but to follow the rules and guidelines as close as possible.

    Keith - what do you mean "Priory Ward done again" ?
