Driving down the A2 into Dover today, I couldn't help noticing that both 30mph limit signs on the downhill side have been removed. First indication that the national speed limit doesn't apply is the 40 sign at the Marine Parade/Townwall St junction. I would have thought that was a tad dangerous.

Be interesting to know if signs on way out of Dover are still there, I have always found it difficult to keep within the speed limit! Both up and down.

The speed triggered "slow down" sign as you approach Jubilee Way on the way down hasn't worked for years.

I remember for many years there were signs on the private road approaching the Univ of Kent that indicated it was a 30mph speed limit one way and unrestricted the other way - unfortunately now corrected.
