Well I have managed 5 sessions since the last progress post.
As you can see below I have joined the main halves of the fuselage with most of the cockpit interior in position. I have been working on the seams with sanding sticks and filler, this is not quite there yet with still a bit more seam work and then I will need to re-scribe the panel lines.
In the picture you can see that I have masked up some of the canopy ready for airbrushing first the interior colour (RLM02 Grey). Unusually for me I will be fixing some of these elements in place before I paint the main aircraft structure. This is because of problems masking the cavernous interior.
Here is a close up of the cockpit. The pic shows the used, weathered and chipped metal seats etc quite well.
Finally I have primed some more parts that will be fixed into place before I move on to the wings. These are the gondola, a section of the top of the fuselage and instrument panel. I will be hand painting the machine gun and attaching it at the end and the tail wheel will get sprayed RLM65 Blue, the underside colour, and will also be one of the final fixings.
