  Ah yes Deep Purple and Smoke on the Water. Some of them great guys from the seventies are falling away now sadly. They were from an era, a great era, where you had to play and write the music yourself...not as it is today, instant pop courtesy of easy assimilated TV shows. Star for a month or two then vanish off the radar. Even Sir Elton has said enough is enough as have many others in the music business.
