Interestingly, one of the roadworks is opposite a bus stop which is still in use and causes grief at peak times.

I stood watching the slow moving traffic this evening for about 10 minutes. I was amazed that everyone kept lane discipline between the two chicanes and didn't rush up the inside to push in later.

Good set of pictures there Terry, tells the story. Might have been a better idea if they temporarily closed that bus stop, although ..there may be elderly people depending on it. They may have been lobbied.

Yes, but look at the empty lane Paul, a temporary bus stop a few yards away would have been a common sense solution.

But that involves common sense which is a dirty word where road works are concerned.

That explains why there were no tailbacks outside the shop this morning, I thought that it was due to the rugby on tv for the lack of traffic.
