Anybody got any details? I can't seem to find a booking form.
The Town Team are launching an enterprise scheme to help local people set up in business including giving them financial support, we'd like to attend as a launch to the scheme.
Any councillors, DDC or conservative party who can help out? I'm aware its run by Charlie but thats it, nothing else on the net.

Hmm #2, Charlie's job's fair is sponsored by DFDS? I certainly applaud them for doing something good for Dover, but suddenly Mr Elphicke's pro-Danish remarks of late make more sense to me!

Did anyone from the Forum look into today, out of interest or for job prospects?

surprised david hasn't given a report on it, went past a couple of times today and there were people outside on smoke breaks, they were unlucky with the weather though.

I was down there for near two hours helping out. I took a couple of jobseekers from Eythorne with me as well. It looked to be pretty well attended, quite a high foot fall and lots of interest.

There were some good prospects in attendance, I didn't get to speak with many of the other potential employers as I was kept quite busy talking to people interested in starting their own businesses as an assistant to the Town Team's efforts and launch of the 'Make it Happen' initiative.

I popped in to see who was there
Got good reports from the people I know and it was estimated somewhere between 800-1000 people visited the event

The number of people signed in at the door was in excess of 1200

1200 people braving the elements to attend says rather a lot about people wanting to work rather than rely on benefits, contrary to the impression given by many in the media.
