  Does anybody actually think Clarkson was talking literally? No, of course not, he simply voiced his opposition to the strike in a colourful and forthright way. That is what he does. I like Clarkson because I like forthright and colourful people, Top Gear is the best programme in otherwise dire tv schedules, and yes I am even referring to repeats!
  
  Those calling for him to be sacked and making a fuss really do need to get a life, plus a sense of humour as well as a sense of proportion. It is they who have made fools of themselves. Clarkson was just being Clarkson, it is what he does and he spoke for a lot of people too, not in the literal sense of course.
