Anyone used Jenkins and Pain for a repair under motor insurance?
If so, did they repair your car to your satisfaction?

Very glad to hear it Paul, as their administration so far has been poor to say the least.

Not my experience with J & p..
I had a particularly bad time with another local company who seemed to be working for the insurance group rather than the customer.

Sue,
Jenkins and Pain did an excellant repair job on my car 2009.
Me too - I was very happy with them a couple of years ago.

They have done private and insurance car-body repairs and were very good - on the private job (my Volvo) they were almost £500 cheaper than the other company.
Yes, I would use them again and recommend them too.

When my Peugeot estate was hit by a truck a couple of years ago it went to a repairer in Herne Bay chosen by my insurer. Can't remember their name. It disappeared for several months, eventually I discovered it had been sold on for salvage without my authority and the salvage company had cashed in the (brand new) tax disc and kept the money. I only got paid after an enquiry to the DVLA to find out who had cashed it in, plus threats of the Small Claims Court. I resolved at that point not to buy cheap car insurance through price comparison websites unless I already knew the company.

Had a much more positive experience with Jenkins and Pain today when we actually took the car in for repair.
Just a warning to everyone: be careful of the low metal bollards in Morrisons Car Park, especially the ones near the exit and the pedestrian walkway.! My husband scraped one when exiting the car park resulting in the need to use Jenkins and Pain. It looks like it is a common occurrence as there were a lot of different paint colours on the bollard!!
