  James Arness, the 6 feet 7 tall actor who kept the peace as Marshal Matt Dillon on 'Gunsmoke' for its 20-year run, died Friday of natural causes at his home in Brentwood,California.

  Even more memorable was his side kick 'Chester' -" Hey Misterrrr Dilluun Miss Kitti's waytin for yu dowwn at the salloown." played by the ultimately more famous Dennis Weaver. James Arness eh-when I was a kid this guy was going to live forever! I guess he did!
