    Went to the traditional nine lessons the other night where choir sang the Carol of Bells. Didn't realise it was written by a Ukranian composer nor that it is in 6/8 AND 3/4 time. No idea what the words are. Must look them up. One bit sounded like '10 sausage rolls' but I'm sure it's not.

    Was honestly a bit surprised just how awful some of the rhymes and metre in some of the traditional ones are.

    With th'angelic indeed. Much the sort of thing I remember in folk music. Unto the lord did pray etc.

    Even Christina Rossetti ended up with a rather dodgy

    'The ox and ass and camel
     Which adore.'

    However could be much worse ............................
