Although the pictures look lovely of the snow, we have seen the past week the effect it has on locals when we get all this snow.
Transport comes to a near stanstill
locals many become house bound
people unable to get to work
some kids even want to go to school but couldnt lol
plus lots lots more.
for me im glad its nearly all gone
what about you?

Personally I like it when it snows sometimes, always did; can't see why such a palaver is made out of it, for a few days of snow-drops! I mean, we even saw on the recent photos in front of Dover Town Council that snow had been prophesied!

I had cause to go to DDC offices twice today and each time it was snowing up at Whitfield; the last time was around 5pm and it was snowing very heavily indeed and settling. down by the Duke of York roundabout, no snow at all - very strange.

OH no!! I dont think we could handle any more of it at present Paul. We've all been through the mill on this one but good to see its now stopped. But up north they are still getting a white hammering. Its very early in the winter so I expect in time we will have some more....and of course we will all be better prepared next time..ahem!
The whole weather system seems to be gone totally chaotic. Snow in november is rare down here.

This was the scene at the start of our trudge to the station in Edinburgh this morning, it ain't gone from there, still 15" deep. There was heavy snow all the way down to Notts and then freezing fog almost to London, all makes down here look quite pleasant.
