We had a most interesting talk on the conservation work of the Aspinall Foundation yesterday. To help reduce hunting for rhino horns, a kind of thick 'paint' is applied to the horn, which includes something which penetrates the horn and, if consumed in a medicine, will produce bad stomach upsets. Won't stop the hunting but would deter perhaps.

Metal thefts have been rife in our locality, and are under more investigation - the metal in many cases would only have been worth about £5, but take much more money to replace.
