Yes the new show, after the success of the DoverLive Dover's Got Young Talent Show, Dover Regatta Events Ltd have held a meeting and asked that another Variety Show could be held in aid of the Regatta and the RNLI.
The show being planned at the moment will bring an afternoon of song dance and humour, and tickets are expected to be exchanged on the black market(only joking) and will cost £5 with some seats at £7.50.
Please see all press release on how to order your tickets as a sell out is expected
The Show will be called 'Celebration of the Sea' a show of Dover's Talent

I see there's a "Youths Got Talent" show being advertised for November. Is this competition?

No not in the slightest,we also knew about the show and we are aiming it at a different audience with different people, although some of the acts may be in both,we are looking at different ideas and as usual with the DoverLive shows some surprises.
I can promise you a wide variety of entertainment, but I think you better bring your tena pads Terry.

Just clarifying the point John as I thought people might confuse the two. Best of luck to both.
You've obviously both guessed Jan and John that I'm wetting myself in anticipation.

We are still putting together some of the acts but we know what we want, and we can add to it and change it before we announce the line up,but we will keep somethings secret until nearer the time, but on paper it looks brilliant,it is my job to pull the show together. The rest of the evening apart from the show will be run by the Regatta Events Ltd.
I believe that the Regatta has always shown the best of Dover and Gill Nick Bailey Andy and Michelle Cooper work hard each year and everybody else involved, but the Regatta wouldn't be the same without the Lifeboat, and I think being a coastal person I admire what those people do,so when I was asked to do it for 2 good causes I was happy to take on the event. We also have to thank Cllr Sue Nicholas who has put her faith in us and facilitated the use of Dover Town Hall.

Hi John,
I will really try and get there this year, great stuff
Could you help, please.
I have given a couple of cards out to people from Help for Heroes with promises to contact me about coming to KMF, unfortunatly they have not responded. I would not like them to miss out, we would love them to come along with their display or whatever they want to do? Do you have contact?
