  Iv said it before, anyone can start a thread on any subject they wish, and if it becomes popular people will post on it.
  
  Politics does appear to be favoured by many contributors(even those that say they hate the political threads and want to ban them)
  We cannot go down the road of banning
  there are a number of threads I t that doesn't mean they should be banned.
  Banning one subject would open the floodgates, and would be the beginning of the end of the forum
