Today the first woman in UK died of swine flu, there are 1,400 with swine flu in UK, IS it a problem?
Part of the problems are the way people act, not washing hands properly, even in hospital Iv been there on a regular basis in past 4 months you see few people washing hands.
In the case of this lady they are saying this lady had another medical problem
lets hope it gets better
Nurses are not what they used to be either - standards have slipped appallingly in recent years and there are many in the frontline of the NHS who would make you ashamed. In part it is the culture of acceptance and non-confrontation, and in part the vastness and lack of accountability. How to pass the buck is the first part of the first exam for most nurses.

I recall when my mrs worked for NHS as a nurse the matron had full control of the nurses and was a very strong person, and feared by many.
The removal some years ago of this role meant the slippage of standards, the present maton needs to be like the matron of old.
Doctors also need to practice what they preach by always washing there hands and encouraging others to
Absolutely! Matrons=control and accountablity. they also managed ALL staff including the cleaners and gardeners, and it was all the better for it. they gave a spirit of cohesionand identity to wards and hospitals and people tried harder to be the best. Now we have sloppy, dirty, careless nurses (not all, but from what I have seen it is most), nurses who care more about describing their nights out than enabling vulnerable people to eat and drink. Strip them out, get good ones in, save the money wasted on dross.

Yep then we can get back to being even more proud of our NHS To allow it to be dismantled/.replaced would be so, so wrong, lots fought for it to come into being, now we need to improve it
