Today, Sunday 13th December 2020, Dover is the fifth highest in the country re virus infected individuals. Am I surprised? No, not at all. This morning I witnessed a male passenger getting into a taxi and sitting in the front with the driver. Both without masks and off it went. This in the taxi rank outside Boots. It is difficult to get ones head round the utter selfishness of the large majority of people in Dover who will not wear a mask unless they actually have to, as in a shop. Even then this varies enourmessly. Most of the other than English stores in town, especially in the High Street, are not enforcing masks for customers. They have a moral responsibility to do so, but........ What is it about those I pass by who give me odd looks when they see me in my mask. I go out of my way to protect them AND myself but they do not care. Should they contract this nasty virus they will complain bitterly. How many are going to infect each other this xmas? How many of their family members are they going to be responsible for as they pass it along and cause deaths within that family?
