So, it has come to light that the DDC were members of a group called Troll The Planet - this group infiltrates Facebook groups, forums etc and tries to provoke trouble, start arguments etc
Why would the DDC be a member of this group ?

Any links to information that would back up this claim, Patrick? Otherwise you would appear to fit the classic definition of a troll. I can find no references to such a group.

Peter - good point - there is a screen shot of the DDC Facebook page shoing the group membership - it has now been hidden. The matter has been referred the the KCC and the local MP.

People should need /or at least ask permission to lift items
although it would be all of DDC cllrs that would I presume would have to give permission to join a facebook page

one officer does the ddc facebook page, councillors would not be involved.
same with the town council.

So PR activity gets put out online without councillor involvement or knowledge. And some say the council isn't officer-led.

the whole facebook thing is instant, would be a logistical nightmare for more than one or two people to be involved.
i don't see why councillors should be consulted as no decisions are made by the officer doing it, her/she simply puts out information for the general public.
