A new company went out live today called Internet Eye`s. Apparently, with numerous surveillance camera`s around, and nobody to monitor them, these cameras are losing their credibility, but, enter the above online company, whereby for a subscription, you can monitor the surveillance cameras at home on your computer, with the chance of winning cash prizes up to £1,000 for spotting a thief etc, and phoning the shopowner. Now isn`t that more exciting and rewarding than watching all those soppy repeats? Of course, the civil liberty groups (do gooders?), are out in force, and whinge that it should be left to trained professionals. Yes, maybe, but at what cost? I assume that it`s costly for business`s to pay professional`s to sit on their arse 24 hours a day with maybe quiet days/weeks and not really earning business revenue? Of course, when these civil liberty or whatever groups start criticising, they never really have an alternative solution. Well, no one likes to be spied on, especially thieves, but is this an alternative to the current situation with surveillance cameras?
