Let's try to solve this mystery, for the past few months that garden two doors from me is either full of tyres or none at all. I have never seen any collected or delivered so presume it is all done quietly in the dead of night. The house is home to many people including the owner of the Czech registered van that has featured on this forum many times and goes missing for days at a time.
Now to my theory as Andy has pointed out the tyres have seen better days and are probably illegal here but other Member States of the EU may be less strict in practice even though the law may be the same.

Lets hope they are ending up Czechoslovakia and not a ditch here, enterprising if that is the story.

Blimey Reg Czechoslovakia ceased to exist over 20 years ago, if you don't believe me check it out(no pun) with the Abyssinian ambassador to Siam.

Presuming its a rented property i,m surprised the landlord tolerates it.

If someone nicks one of my doors I'll get you to check that garden ;-)
I wonder if any breakers yards are finding tyres and parts going missing over night

The landlord doesn't care he is in partnership with Councillor Roger Walkden so has covered his back.

Howard, no wonder our councillors are reluctant to post on here with unnecessary comments like that.

I doubt that's the reason Jan.

Perhaps they were 'tyred' of losing their washing off the clothes line Howard and saw someone peering at it and thought that they would be made to 'tread' more carefully if the Michelin man was present. ........... Or maybe the occupier is a 'remoulded' Christian!
The doors, with windows slightly open, are probably being recycled as a cold frame to nurture the crops, (they seem to be growing well)!
