OMG! I can't believe this ugly looking Butlins type holiday kiosk of old is standing in prime position between the Channel Swimmers and allowed to be put there. It completely destroys the Vista! As one comes to meet our glorious seafront from Cambridge Terrace, one can hardly make out the swimming sculptures, they are barely visible when approaching, the eye is drawn to the ugly kiosk which is an eyesore. Its good to have an information kiosk on the seafront, I'm not against it at all but the prime position it occupies is just not on. Put it near or next to the ice cream cafe or anywhere else but not in front of our Grand Entrance near the new Dover Marina Hotel. It has been moved alright, turned around in prime spot destroying that wonderful view. Surely someone in charge of these things should act now to have it moved.
I was walking with daughter Saskia home from Uni for the weekend. When we arrived at the seafront she shrieked in horror at the sight of it right in front of the entrance and that is the reaction of one of our young Dovorian's, she got her shriek out before me!
