Gawd I cant beleive it...George Galloway has resurrected himself from the political dead. This guy is fairly awful in my book...I cant get away from that image of him on Big Brother behaving as a cat and licking milk from Rula Lenska's lap..while uttering meiow meiow...and she patting him on the head. Not a good political image...fine if you are pursuing a career as a tv game show regular..but he was an MP at the time.
George is seen as a friend of the arab, big anti war message won through here, it certainly played well with the local ethnic community and particularly so amongst the youth. However apart from the protest vote, do the constituents really get a good all round repesentation from an ego-ecentric guy who comes across as totally bananas.
However having said all that...it was one hell of a win.
