Sad as it may be Howard, and yet I wish we had the possibility to actually discuss nationwide this and other important topics, so as to think over what an issue implies, hear other people's views and express our own, and have a referendum. A constitutional provision would also leave open the space for a compromise.
Recently I signed up to Marie Cure, I think it's that name or similar, but on the agreement that I must first have enough income to contribute, which at present I do not have.
My major campaign in economy is and will be in the future that young people in our Country actually get the possibility to work, and receive a decent wage. Also, that ill and elderly people receive the aid they require within their own homes is important to me, as it is to many of us.
About an hour ago I watched an extract of a bagpipe display in Edinburgh of over ten thousand pipers and drummers in support of Marie Cure (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly). The lady presenting on the microphone said she is proud to be Scottish.
That what hurts me is that at present we have no way of opposing Barry W's viewpoint which the Government is representing, and cannot say No! That hurts me.
People who cannot defend themselves such as the elderly who receive financial help but now risk being carted out of their homes, and young and healthy people who want to work but de facto cannot... people who want to help but are overruled...it cannot all lead to a simple silencing off with everyone buckling down.
All I can say here is that I am proud that I listen to bagpipes! The Scottish Flaf Flying High!
