I used to live opposite the Diamond in Heathfield Avenue and it has got worse over time. I worked shifts then and could finish as late as 2am, yet I was always able to park in the road near enough outside my house. We are only talking about 15 years ago, but all of my neighbours then were elderly and had no car, or like me, had children that were of primary age and one car.

I keep in contact with an old neighbour there and the three houses to one side of where I used to live had 3 elderly couples. All have died or gone into care homes and those three houses now have parents with one car each and children who also own a car. Add into the mix that employers prefer their staff to drive their work vans home, it ain't going to get any better any time soon!

And Heathfield / Minerva are some of the easier places in Dover to park!
