The only sensible answer is to restrict and enforce parking to one side of the road with double yellow on the other side, at the same time make those with back entrances park in their rear garden if there is safe access.
The only other alternative is to hinder pedestrians using the pavement and stop he buses, fire engines etc from the narrow roads which is crazy and just not an option.
I have noticed even in my wide road there is a shortage of parking, houses having no drives but two or more cars per building plus those who work in the area parking in any available space.
We have far too many cars and nowhere for them to park in so many areas in the town.
