  I have no faith at all in the Border Agency but at the same time doubtful interpretation of the Human Rights Bill has not helped them do their job, I am mainly thinking of when they can cite their family in this country as a reason to stay.

  Just what is so 'astonishing'? Should (over-reportedly) corrupt officials be a law unto themselves? Should the rather hastily arranged tickets be used by idling MPs?
  
  "It also wasted £2.5 million... - a 24% increase on the previous year." This represents great good fortune for those wishing to big themselves-up for recent changes to the way this system is to operate from now on. Might there be the slightest chance that overall the books have been 'righted'?
  
  And who is this "Lord Marlesford"?
