  It seems that the token fat man wants to ban councils from using spy cameras in order to trap and fine errant motorists who park where (and when) they didn't ought to! He hopes to introduce measures next month although councils quite naturally are against it.
  
  It's not only councils of course, supermarkets such as Aldi use ANPR cameras. If you overstay your welcome, or even go back having forgotten something, then in a couple of weeks a "fine" will appear in the post.
  
  There's something not quite right about the DVLA passing on driver's details to third parties.

  ps there's a moratorium at the moment at the Dover Aldi, the cameras are covered up by the building works!
